Digital passport photo
Taking perfect digitial passport photos has never been so quick and easy. Visit our shop for instant professional ID photos.
A digital passport photo is simply a computer version of your photo. Along with physical passport prints, you’ll get a secure digital photo code that’s easy to add to your online passport application.
Simply enter your code during the application process, and your photo will quickly appear before being checked by HMPO.

Printed passport photos must measure 45mm x 35mm. Digital photos must be between 50KB & 10MB.
Passport photos must be taken against a clear, light-coloured background that contrasts clearly.
Your passport photos must be focused, clear and in full colour. Printed photos cannot be creased or torn.
You need to be alone in the photo and look straight at the camera with a neutral expression.
Eyes must be open and visible, unobscured by hair. “Red eye” will also be rejected.
Unless for religious or medical reasons, no headwear can be worn in your passport photo.
There must be no shadows on your face or behind you. Lighting must always be even.
Glasses should not be worn unless necessary. They cannot be sunglasses or tinted glasses.
Passport photos cannot be altered, edited or manipulated in any way by computer software.

Baby passport photo
Let’s face it, applying for the kids’ first passport can be stressful, and the hardest part is often taking a passport photo that’ll be accepted by HMPO.
Since it’s so much harder to meet all the rules, we take professional passport photos for babies, toddlers and all other kids that you know will be accepted.
There’s no minimum age for a passport photo with us, so everyone from newborns to teenagers will soon be holiday-ready!

Meeting Passport Office rules is so much harder when taking baby passport photos. To make things more complicated, photo requirements will actually depend on the age of your child.
We’ll worry about all the HMPO rules for you, but here are the main requirements to be aware of.
Children under 1 do NOT need to have their eyes open. You can support their head, but your hand must not be visible
Children under 6 do NOT need to look directly at the camera or have a neutral expression.
Children of all ages must be alone in the picture, so toys, dummies and parents cannot be visible.
